Gamani Corea Foundation (GCF) is an autonomous non-profit charitable institution that aims to promote development-related economic research and multidisciplinary research between economics and the social sciences and/or humanities. Its mission is to contribute to the socio-economic development of Sri Lanka and other low-income and middle-income countries through high-quality research.
In keeping with its mission GCF launched Competitive Research Awards which provides research grants to passionate researchers in the fields of economics and allied social sciences. This program aims to support cutting-edge research in development topics which will generate evidence that can be utilized to address socio-economic challenges in Sri Lanka, with a focus on medium and long-term perspectives.
